Ammunition Management & Physical Stockpile Security Management Course

This course is for those who are qualified to IMAS EOD Level 2 or higher and wish to further their knowledge in ammunition management. The training will enable individuals to conduct safe operational activities in accordance with the United Nations (UN) International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATGs) and International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) and the stipulations laid down by the individual National Mine Action Authority (NMAA). Level of competency training meets IATGs and covers aspects of the PSSM of SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons) in accordance with the relevant ISACS (International Small Arms Control Standards) publications.

On successful completion of the course, you will have acquired the requisite knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to calculate IQDs and OQDs essential for safe storage of large stocks of ammunition, thus reducing the risk to civilian personnel living within the proximity to ammunition storage areas and reducing the chances of explosive propagation between explosive magazines. You will conduct Inspections of ammunition storage areas and advise on measures necessary to bring the storage area up to risk reduction levels 1, 2 and 3 as stipulated in UNIATGs 01.20 on HIRA (Hazard Identification Risk Assessment) and risk reduction, advise on planning an inspection and surveillance program of ammunition stocks, and plan an ammunition storage area for field storage, (up to one year duration) , temporary storage (up to five years duration) or permanent storage, for several thousands of tons of ammunition in accordance with the requirements of UNIATGs. You will also have the requisite knowledge to advise on the secure storage of SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons) as per the relevant UN ISACS (International Small Arms Control Standards).

We assist our students obtain their Kosovar visa if they need a visa to enter Kosovo. Please note that if you require a visa to enter Kosovo we need to receive the deposit and start your visa process by the 20th April in order to have your visa application processed in time.
