Applicants: Must hold valid IMAS EOD L3 certificate.
Course fee: €4,950 (inclusive of all training, food and accommodation).
Location: The town of Peja in Kosovo.
The training goal of the course is to instruct students, who are already EOD Level 3 (IMAS) to the required knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to perform the duties & tasks (during EOD Operations) of a qualified IMAS Level 3 + EOD Operator. This is in accordance with IMAS. The levels of competency training will meet IMAS 09.30; Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 3 + Criteria. Students will have the opportunity to gain an IMAS Level 3 + qualification, depending on the level of competency displayed by the student during assessment and training.
The students will be issued professionally produced reference materials for the course. Included is an EOD training handbook, a set of IMAS, Technical notes for Mine Action, IMSMA reports, relevant GICHD books and publications. To complement these handouts there is a large and varied selection of UXO training aids to help facilitate the learning process.
CONFIRMATORY EXERCISES, ASSESSMENTS AND FORMAL TESTS:
UXO identification test, (LSA, GWs, ADW’). Central Demolition Site selection exercise, including writing range procedures and destruction programme assessments. Booby trap Clearance assessments. EOD & IED practical disposal assessments . EOD chemical precautions practical exercise. Students will have to plan, manage and conduct a series of EOD, IED, and booby trap task scenarios as the EOD operator in command.
